Yes. From 1 July 2026, the Veterans’ Children Education Scheme (VCES) was incorporated into the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act Education and Training Scheme (MRCAETS). Children accessing VCES before that date were automatically transferred to MRCAETS.

DVA now operates one education scheme, MRCAETS. Please contact DVA about your child’s current arrangements and any approval required for additional tuition.

DVA confirms approved funding, claim conditions and the period covered by your child’s approval. Please check these details directly with DVA. Before tutoring begins, we clarify session fees and how the proposed tutoring arrangements fit the funding approved for your child.
